VeriThesis — Privacy Policy

Last updated: this describes current app behavior as built.

VeriThesis is a source-grounded academic project copilot. This page explains what data the app collects, how it's used, and how to control or delete it.

What's stored, and where

DataPurpose
Account identifier (anonymous by default, or an email if you create one)Identifying your account and its credit balance
Research topic, plan, sources, evidence, drafted chaptersThe core service — building your project
Uploaded CSVs or scanned documentsComputing statistics or extracting text you requested
Purchase and credit historyBilling accuracy and support

Who can see your work

Only you, by default. If you invite a supervisor by email, they can view your plan, integrity scorecard, and flagged claims, and leave comments — nothing else. Nobody else at VeriThesis reads project content as a matter of course.

AI processing

Drafting, verification, and evidence extraction send the relevant text (a topic, a claim, an approved source's abstract) to the AI provider handling that step (Anthropic, OpenAI, or DeepSeek). Uploaded datasets and scanned documents are never sent to an AI model — CSV analysis is plain arithmetic, and scanned-document text extraction uses Google Cloud Vision for OCR only.

Deleting your data

Deleting a project in-app is permanent and complete — it removes the project, every source, evidence item, chapter, comment, and uploaded file for it. There is no undo. To delete your entire account, contact support at the email below.
