Propsure is operated by Prince Dev Labs Limited, a technology company registered in Nigeria. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use the Propsure app.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use Propsure:
- Account information: Name, phone number, email address (optional)
- Location data: Approximate and precise location, used to show nearby properties and to pin listing locations
- Property listings: Photos, videos, addresses, descriptions you upload when listing a property
- Identity verification: National Identification Number (NIN) or government-issued ID — collected only for agent verification. This is sent directly to our verification provider and we only store your verification status (Verified / Unverified), not the NIN itself
- Messages: Chat messages between tenants and agents stored on Firebase
- Payment information: Transaction amounts and plan details for Premium subscriptions processed via Paystack. We do not store card numbers — all card processing is handled by Paystack
- Device information: Device type, OS version, push notification tokens for app functionality
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To show you relevant property listings near you
- To connect tenants with verified property agents
- To verify agent identity and display verification badges
- To process Premium plan subscriptions
- To send you booking updates, messages, and important notifications
- To improve the app and fix bugs
- To comply with Nigerian law
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We only share data with:
- Firebase (Google): Database, authentication, and storage infrastructure
- Paystack: Payment processing for Premium subscriptions
- Lumiid / Didit: Identity verification provider for agent NIN verification
- Google Maps: Map display within the app
- Law enforcement: Only when required by Nigerian law or court order
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Firebase (Google Cloud) servers. All data is encrypted in transit using SSL/TLS. We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information.
NIN and identity documents are transmitted over encrypted connections and not stored in plain text in our database.
5. Location Data
We request location permission only when you actively use location features (e.g., "Use my location" when listing a property or searching nearby). We do not track your location in the background.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete:
- Your profile information within 30 days
- Your property listings
- Your chat messages
- Your Firebase authentication record
Payment records may be retained for 7 years as required by Nigerian financial regulations.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information (via Profile → Edit Profile)
- Delete your account and data (via Settings → Delete Account)
- Opt out of marketing notifications (via Settings → Notifications)
- Request a copy of your data by emailing us
8. Children's Privacy
Propsure is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us immediately.
9. Third-Party Links
The app may contain links to external websites (e.g., WhatsApp). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party services.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
