Goldwise Risk Disclosure
Trading gold and other leveraged products carries a high level of risk and you can lose more than you expect. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.
What Goldwise is and is not
Goldwise is an educational and information service. It is not a broker, it does not manage money, it does not execute trades for you and it does not give personal investment advice. Everything in the app is general information.
The main risks
- Loss of money. Prices can move quickly and against you. A stop loss limits the planned loss but is not a guarantee: in fast markets it can fill at a worse price.
- Leverage. Leverage magnifies gains and losses. Using too large a position size is one of the most common reasons accounts are lost.
- Signals are not certain. A signal is one analyst's idea. It can be wrong, it can be late, and a limit price may never be reached.
- Results are not what you would earn. Outcomes shown in Goldwise are theoretical or manually recorded. Spreads, commissions, slippage, delays and platform differences change real results. Past results do not predict future results.
- Losing streaks are normal. Even a good method can lose several trades in a row.
- News and gaps. Major announcements can move gold sharply and widen spreads.
- Your broker. Make sure any broker you use is properly regulated and understand its fees, leverage and rules. Trading rules for forex and similar products differ by country, and you are responsible for following those where you live.
Learning content
Courses, quizzes, diagrams, the risk calculator, the trade journal and the "Guess the analysis" game are for learning. Diagrams are drawings, not real price data. Nothing in them promises profit. We encourage you to practise on a demo account before using real money.
Your responsibility
You alone decide whether to trade and how much to risk. If you are unsure, speak to a qualified, independent adviser. If trading is affecting your wellbeing or finances, please stop and seek support.
